Browne in P. QI 3 39 edits ⲁⲅⲅⲉⲥⲧⲟⲧⲗ̄ ⲁ̇ⲡⲟⲛ· ⲡⲉⲥⲛ̄ ⳟⲁ, 'Angestotil, son of my father Pesi', but the expression 'son of my father' seems bizarre. I therefore prefer to treat ⲁ̇ⲡⲟⲛⲡⲉⲥⲛ̄ as one word denoting the name of Angestotil's father, Aponpesi, meaning 'sibling of my father'. This is all the more probable since other names formed with the element -pesa/-pesi have kinship terms as the first element: Papinpesa – 'sibling of father', Giinpesa – 'sibling of maternal uncle'.
