Gender not specified. In an unpublished handout with transcription and translation of the document, Plumley read ⲁⲩⲁⲙⲏ. However, on the basis of a tracing of the text, the name should rather be corrected to ⲁⳡⲁⲙⲏ. All the more so, since no other the name Auame is otherwise unattested, and the element ⲁⳡ- is a frequent element of various Nubian names (although the name Anyame finds no parallels either).
