Description
Lower vertical arm of a sepulchral cross, with both side margins and the bottom one preserved. The epigraphic field framed by an incised line. The front surface and sides were painted white after firing; the back surface was left unpainted, but it bears the impression of a mat on which the cross dried up in the sun. The large lower part of the epigraphic field left uninscribed.
Porous Nile clay with considerable organic and mineral admixture (mica, quartzite).
